Back in November we covered Ollie’s Story and her Sister Georgie who’s running the Virgin London Marathon this Sunday.
The fantastic news is that 18 year-old Ollie from Liverpool has now been clear of cancer for four months. In the last couple of weeks she has been putting her efforts into supporting her big sister Georgie as she prepares to take part in the Virgin London Marathon this Sunday.
Ollie has been documenting her cancer journey through an online video diary since October last year. Ollie was diagnosed with bone cancer in January 2009 and during the course of her online documentary has now received the wonderful news that she is clear from the cancer.
Georgie takes part in the London Marathon on 25 April with her boyfriend Ben as they show their support for Ollie and raise money for CLIC Sargent, the charity that has supported Ollie since the moment she was diagnosed.
Ollie and Georgie have raised an incredible £45,000 for CLIC Sargent to date. £35,000 of this came from a fundraising ball that Ollie organised at the end of March. She had an incredible 400 guests and an array of auction prizes on the night including a training session with the England Rugby Team and World Cup tickets.
