Exclusive kit bags for first 20,000 Virgin London Marathon fundraisers!

If you’ve heard from the Virgin London Marathon that your place in next year’s race is confirmed, or have signed up for a place through a charity, we’ve got some exciting news for you!

As well as helping runners raise money for their favourite charities this year we’re doing a little something to help you, the runner. We’ve put together a little kit bag with a few essentials to get you started, and it’s free!

The first 20,000 runners to start fundraising with Virgin Money Giving will be sent an exclusive kit bag towards the end of October.

And we’re not leaving it there, we’ve got tips and support for you all the way to race day, and some fundraising total boosting competitions coming in the months ahead.

Did you know as the official fundraising website of the Virgin London Marathon, since we started in 2009, we’ve helped fundraisers collect over £145 million* – with £38.8 million from Marathon runners alone.In fact, in the last three years an additional £1.3 million has reached charities just by Virgin London Marathon runners fundraising through us instead of JustGiving** – because we’re 100% not-for-profit.

To get your name on the list for a free kit bag, just create your page and start your fundraising today. And if you’ve already started don’t worry, your name’s already on the list!

Alreday done a month ago or so broke my first £100 and well on the way to £200 LOL alot more to go running for the Royal Air Force Association in support of the RAF personnel passed and present and their children who find themselves in times of need and support Please help

You’ll need to start receiving donations to your page in order to receive one of our kit bags. Why not send an email to some of your close friends and ask them to make a donation to your page. If you add a link, they’ll be able to make a donation in just a couple of minutes.

If you’re one of the first 20,000 (and starting that early you probably are!) You’ll be getting one out in the post in the next couple of weeks. If you’ve just changed your postal address that should be fine, as we won’t be collecting together the names and address for a couple of weeks.

I received a kit bag this morning, i set up my giving page the same day the ballot opened, i havent received any donations that im aware of and also didnt get a place in the vlm, any ideas whats going on?

We’ve just done a little sweep up of Marathon Runners to make sure we’d sent out all the kit bags we should have done by now. Apologies, it seems like we sent you one in error.

Obviously you can keep the kit bag, and still make use of it to keep your running gear in.

UPDATE: I’ve just checked with the team and your kit bag was posted out on the 5 November last year. I’ve asked them to send you another one as it seems to have got lost in the post. Let us know when you receive it.
