Still time to run the Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon for charity

On 7 October thousands of runners will take to the start line of the Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon.

13.1 Miles through London’s wonderful parks, taking in some of the famous landmarks of the city If you’d like to get a place but weren’t successful in the ballot there’s still time. You could run for one of the charities below that still have guaranteed entries into the event available.

Take on the Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon as a team

In just over 100 days 12,500 runners will be taking to the start line of one of Britain’s most beautiful city runs – the Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon.

If you and your colleagues want to get fit and encourage some healthy competition in the workplace, why not set up a team and take on the Corporate Challenge.

The Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon on Sunday 7 October takes in four of London’s Royal Parks; Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, Green Park and St. James’ Park as well as passing some of the capitals most iconic landmarks including the Houses of Parliament.

To register for the event on Sunday 7 October just visit the Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon website.

There must be at least six members in the team – and all must complete the full 13.1 miles. A prize will be awarded for the fastest corporate team and all corporate team runners will also be eligible for the individual prizes on offer.

Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon

Each year, all runners in the Royal Parks Half Marathon receive a soft breathable running shirt, and the the back of the shirt features an inspirational design.

The Royal Parks are looking to find an exciting new design to take to the streets of London on Sunday, October 7, 2012.

The chosen designer will also win two coveted Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon race places for the 2012 event, a magnum of Champagne and two VIP invitations to rub shoulders with the stars in the exclusive hospitality tent in the festival village.

Royal Parks Half ‘Raise £500′ competition winner announced!

It seems to be ‘competition winning’ season at Virgin Money Giving at the moment, with several of the fundraising competitions we’ve been running recently coming to a close.

The latest winner to be announced is Bridget Wrather who receives a £500 donation to her already fantastic total in our Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon ’Raise over £500′ competition.

Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park

This year’s Winter Wonderland brings Santa Land, London’s largest outdoor ice rink, big top shows, a bustling German market, and a funfair to Hyde Park.

For the first time, The Royal Parks Foundation is opening up the exclusive preview night (normally only attended by celebrities and the media) to raise money for charity.

100% of the ticket price to attend the preview night on 18 November 2010 will be donated to the Royal Parks foundation.

Tickets are £25 for adults and £20 for children (free for under 12s). The wrist band includes unlimited access to all attractions for the entire evening.
