Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon

Places for the The Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon on 10 October opened to the public this morning, and sold out before 1pm. If you’d still like to take part, some places are available through their ‘Golden Oak charity partners’.

The 13.1 mile route runs across four of London’s Royal Parks – Hyde Park, St. James’s Park, Kensington Gardens and Green Park, and for the sight seeing half marathon runners you can also take in Buckingham Palace, the Houses of Parliament, Marble Arch and the Royal Albert Hall along the route.

The official launch last Friday saw Ben Fogle and Tana Ramsay in the park along with human flowers and trees (body painted by World Champion body painter Carolyn Roper).

Virgin Money Giving is the official online fundraising website for the event, and we were there last year handing out our cheering boards and helping to cheer on all of the runners. We’ll be back again this Autumn again and look forward to seeing you there.

If you’re running for charity, make sure you create your Virgin Money Giving fundraising page for a head start in collecting sponsorship online.
