We’re very proud to be supporting Start – an exciting new programme organised by The Prince’s Charities to promote sustainable living for the future.
Start’s aim is to show everyone that making just a few small changes to the way we live today could make a big difference in the long run, creating a better future for us all. The Start garden party is being held over the next two weeks, in the The Prince of Wales gardens at Clarence House.
The key message behind the initiative is to ‘Start doing something’, instead of the typical ‘Stop doing something’ message that is so often associated with sustainability.
In keeping with this our ‘Start’ is to help people to start fundraising or start donating, and we’re bringing this to life in our area at the garden party. Over the 12 days we’re hosting a “London Marathon” every day on our treadmill, and a guest pianist will be completing musical endurance challenges.
Our friends over at Virgin Money have created a pledge tree where they’re capturing visitors sustainability pledges. You can find out more here, and follow the latest sustainability messages from the trees twitter feed.
We’ve got photos from the event on our facebook page, and if you’re visiting the garden party make sure you come along and see us.
The party will last for 12 days, from the 8th to the 19th of September – simply visit startgardenparty.co.uk for more details. Tickets are priced £15 for adults and £7.50 for children and are on sale now.
