Richard and Holly Branson cheering at the London Marathon

Richard and Holly Cheer on Marathon RunnersRichard and Holly Branson will be supporting the 37,000 runners at this year’s Virgin London Marathon from a Virgin Cheering Zone at mile 19 by Montgomery Square in Canary Wharf.

They”ll be joined by Virgin staff to give the runners cheers of support as they hit mile 19 mark.

As well as playing the  thousands of cheers that Virgin Money have been collecting from around the country over the past month to create the world’s biggest cheer.

If your supporters would like to join us in Montgomery Square we’ll be keeping them entertained with the Bollywood Brass Band and a 50 voice Rock Choir.

Elsewhere on the course we’ll be out between mile 12 and 13  (just off Tower Bridge) making lots of noise with our Virgin Angels giving away plenty of cheering materials if your supporters would like to join us.

And finally our friends at Virgin Unite will be on Embankment encouraging everyone along towards the end of the course.

We’d love your supporters to join us, and if you’re brining your friends and family to the London Marathon Expo make sure you visit us in the Virgin zone where you can create your own cheering boards.

Hi Richard, a great day, superb support (particuarly from the marshalls and water stations) and to cap it all a warm greeting from you at the finish. It capped the day off nicely. Thank you for that personal touch.
