Virgin Money Stores take on a ‘5 Million Pennies’ challenge

Virgin Money Store staff
We’ve teamed up with Virgin Money Stores up and down the country to celebrate the extra money raised by fundraisers using Virgin Money Giving.

Since we launched in 2009 £5 million more has gone to charity, as a result of fundraisers choosing Virgin Money Giving instead of other fundraising websites. To celebrate this fantastic achievement and at raise even more for charity, we’ve challenged the Virgin Money Store network to raise 5 million pennies (£50,000)  that is £667 per Store.

Dorking Store

The stores are supporting either a a local  cause or Virgin Money’s corporate charity Anthony Nolan. Their task is to come up with a range of fundraising events to hit their donation target.  So far we’ve seen ideas from wine tasting in Dorking to Marathon running in Belfast.

John, the Store Manager from Cheltenham even spent 4 hours cycling outside his local Asda superstore and the Kingston Store have organised a ‘Benefit Evening’ filled with live entertainment, a DJ, casino tables and an auction.

To see what the Virgin Money store in your area is up to look up their fundraising page here.
