Phil Ashby will not be pulling any punches on Saturday when he steps in the boxing ring for his first ever fight in a bid to raise money for a little boy who is facing his own fight against cancer.
Seb is the son of Phil’s close friends and at just 3 years old was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia in March this year. Seb will have to undergo an array of treatment and chemotherapy at Birmingham Children’s Hospital for the next three and a half years.
Phil thought about the daily fight that Seb has and wanted to show his support. So he’s doing something completely out of his comfort zone by taking part in a Corporate White Collar Boxing event. He says “my 12 weeks of intense training is almost complete and I aim to do Seb proud on the night. However, nothing will ever compare to how proud we all are of Seb, he has such courage”.
All the money Phil raises will go towards a much needed new £4 Million Cancer Unit at the children’s hospital.
