A record-breaking rookery

Run, Jog, Walk

There are a great many different activities people undertake in order to fundraise for charity. Some run marathons or cycle long distances, some sit in baths of baked beans or jump out of planes… And some dress up as penguins.

On the 13 of November, Richard House Children’s Hospice is trying to break the world record for the largest gathering of people dressed as penguins. Wood Wharf in Canary Wharf will become a hub for flightless birds who will “run, jog, walk or waddle” 2k to raise as much money as possible.

Richard House Children’s Hospice provides care for children and young adults who have life-limiting and potentially terminal illnesses, and they provide this care free of charge.

Registration is still open so for more information about the event, have a look at Richard House’s website or to sponsor a “penguin”, visit their their Virgin Money Giving page.
