Jane Sutton’s London Marathon promise

In the first of a short series of films Jane Sutton talks about her motivation for running the Virgin Money London Marathon on the 26 April and how she is going to fulfil her promise to her son Stephen Sutton.

Stephen was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 15, the cancer was classed as incurable, when he was 19 he passed away on the 14th May 2014.

Stephen was a keen runner himself, even though he had a diagnoses of incurable cancer he always still thought that one day he would be able to run a marathon. Jane and Stephen both went to watch the London Marathon last year and inspired by the incredible atmosphere Jane promised to run for him.
